ABOUT VINCENT

Vincent is a percussionist, teacher, recording engineer, and composer born in New Jersey, USA. Raised by two visual artists, Vincent’s love for art and music began at a young. Vincent started playing Drum Set professionally at the age of 14 and has toured with different groups ever since. Vincent is a skilled Yoga & dance accompanist and has played over one thousand Yoga, Modern & African classes. He is also an accompanist for the complex Kathak dance of North India and has studied and performed in India and America. He is an alumni of the Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, where he specialized in Jazz and Classical percussion.

Vincent has studied Tabla, an Indian percussion instrument for 11 years under the guidance of Pandit Divyang Vakil starting in 2005. During the this time of study, he visited India where he was introduced to Nāda Yoga and the effects it has on the mind and the body. In recent years, Vincent has focused on researching sound vibrations and began practicing Nāda Yoga. He is also an avid Yoga Asana practitioner, with a steady self practice since 2012. Vincent started Yoga music accompaniment in 2014, and has since accompanied different Yoga projects at Lululemon Athletica & Gratitude Yoga in Princeton, Yoga Bohemia in Long Beach Island and Rutgers University. Hum Yoga is Vincent’s first Yoga & Sound project.
